ABOUT THE HOME:
In this beautiful new home by Zachary & Sons Homes, old world and classic Southwestern elements blend seamlessly with contemporary finishes and materials to create a unique Santa Fe transitional style. Locally sourced vigas, strategically placed nichos, bullnose corners, walnut floors, and white diamond plaster walls speak the language of old Santa Fe, but an open plan concept and the use of glass and metal in the front door and front gate suggest a modern sensibility.
Designer tile is used to great effect in this residence, especially in the baths. The master bath, finished in watery light greens and appointed with a steam shower and heated deck tub, has the feel of a Japanese onsen. In the guest bath, floor-to-ceiling canary yellow cabinetry, reminiscent of the style of Mexican architect Ricardo Legoretta, is fresh and inspiring.
Well-placed windows bring abundant natural light into the home, a feeling that continues outdoors, where deep portales capture magnificent northwest-facing views of the Jemez Mountains.
ABOUT THE BUILDER:
In 2019, Zachary Shultz celebrates his 27th year of building superior custom homes in Santa Fe. His sons, Aaron Shultz and Josh Shultz, represent the sixth generation of homebuilders in the family. As Zachary & Sons Homes, the Shultz family delivers “distinctive homes with a personal touch.”
